Privacy notice
Last updated: 2 October 2026
This notice explains how Optimisr (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data. It covers people who visit this website, businesses who enquire about or use our services, and members of the public who contact a local business through a landing page, listing, form, message or tracked phone number that we run.
Who is responsible for your data
Optimisr is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us about anything in this notice at [email protected].
If you enquire about a local service
Many of our pages, listings and phone numbers are run by Optimisr on behalf of a local business. When you fill in a form, send a message or call one of these numbers, we collect:
- your name and contact details (phone, email, postcode or town);
- what you need, such as the type of job, timing and budget range;
- messages you send, and call details such as the time, duration and the number you called from;
- a recording of the call, if the call is recorded. You will be told at the start of any recorded call.
We use this to reply to you, to check the enquiry is something the business can help with, and to pass it on. Your enquiry is passed to one business only: the business we work with for that type of service in your area. We do not sell your details or share them with other firms. Once passed on, that business also becomes responsible for how it uses your details. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in handling and forwarding the enquiry you made, and, where you tick a consent box, your consent.
If you are a business
When you use our Get started, free lead check or free AI visibility check forms, or work with us, we collect your name, business name, contact details, website, town and the type of business you run. We use this to answer your enquiry, run the check you asked for, deliver our services and manage our relationship with you. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing that contract, and our legitimate interests in running our business.
Messaging channels
Where a business uses our services on Facebook Messenger, Instagram or WhatsApp, we process the messages sent to that business in order to reply and pass on enquiries. If you remove our access through Meta’s settings, see our deauthorisation and data deletion pages.
Website visitors and cookies
We only use analytics cookies if you accept them. See our cookie policy for details and to change your choice.
Who we share data with
- the single business your enquiry is for, as described above;
- service providers who help us run our services, such as hosting, telephony and call tracking, email and SMS delivery, analytics and AI tools, under contracts that protect your data;
- authorities, where the law requires it.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and call data for as long as we need it to handle the enquiry, resolve questions about lead quality and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We will update this notice when how we use data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
